Scotts Unveils High-Tech Centre

27 Jul 05 10:00

In a change to its traditional offering, Scotts is bringing the highest level of technical expertise and scientific information to Saltex with a new-look stand called The Scotts Technical Centre. The company says the stand will focus exclusively on the technical side of the business, research and development and the total solutions and service available to customers.

One of the most exciting aspects of The Scotts Technical Centre is that visitors will be able to come and talk to some of the country’s leading independent turf experts, who will be on the stand throughout the show.

Scotts has chosen Saltex to announce the latest trials results on a new coating technology for its Sierrablen fertilizer. The coating is designed to have a quicker, more consistent release, give faster green-up and have finer granules.

Also, details will be released on a new turf management product called Primo Maxx, which helps turf to be more drought tolerant and disease resistant, thickens the sward and slows growth. The product is currently being trialed by 25 users from the world of golf and other sports, including Derby County Football Club and Forest of Arden Golf Club. Many of these users will be on the stand to discuss their experiences of Primo Maxx and its benefits.
