Glasgow Golf Club Switches To Scotts
14 Feb 08 10:40Renfrew Golf Club, an 18-hole parkland course on the outskirts of Glasgow, has switched to a total Scotts nutrition and control programme after being impressed by several of the company’s products.
Course manager Fraser Ross was so pleased with the products, as well as the superb level of service and advice he receives, that he signed up to the comprehensive programme late last year. “Their products do what they say on the tin and are very effective,” he enthuses. “I am using Re-Act selective herbicide, Heritage fungicide, plus Invigorate granular fertilizer, which has really improved turf health and colour.”

However, it was the quality of the support that Fraser received from Scotts that proved the deciding factor in the total move to the company. “I have known Gary Smith [Scotts’ turf and amenity advisor] for over 10 years and I trust his opinion because he always gives me excellent technical advice. His knowledge and experience have really helped me improve quality on the course.”
