Scotts Showcase Advanced Fertilizer & Applicator Innovations

The very latest innovations in the market leading Osmocote brand of unique controlled release fertilizers, as well as cost-saving applicator technology, will take centre stage on the Scotts Professional stand at Four Oaks in September(B43/48).

Committed to the development of advanced fertilizers for nursery stock growers, Osmocote Topdress NT contains coated, slow release and water soluble fertilizers.  Ease of use and ultimate evenness in conductivity over a five-month period are two of its key features.  The unique properties of Osmocote Topdress NT ensure it sticks to the top of the growing media and is not lost should the plant topple over.

Meanwhile Osmocote Hi-End is the first of a new generation employing Dual Coating Technology (DCT).  “A percentage of granules are dual coated, delaying nutrient release, in order to better match plant requirements” explains Andrew Wilson, Scotts technical sales manager.  “This second, and enhanced, release of nutrients is timed for when the plant needs a boost in its growing cycle.”

Visitors to Scotts Professional’s stand at Four Oaks can see a working demonstration, and test drive for themselves, the Fertil Dispenser.  “It is specifically designed to make topdressing more accurate, easier and quicker,” explains Andrew Wilson.  “All key considerations in helping to reduce overall fertilizer application costs.”
