Withdrawal of Clarosan

03 Apr 06 13:00

On the 25th July 2003 the UK competent authorities for pesticidal products Pesticides Safety Directorate (PSD) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) carried out some transfers of registrations due to changes in the law under due to the introduction of the Biocidal Products Regulations (BPR).  The registration of Clarosan was thus moved from PSD to HSE and it now came under the scope of the BPR.

Unfortunately, the active ingredient supplier was unable to support the active ingredient terbutryn used in Clarosan through the BPR review process and as a consequence it must be withdrawn from sale.  The date we have been given for this withdrawal is September 1st 2006.  Unlike products withdrawn under COPR Clarosan will not be given any use up period.  The 1st September will be the last day that Clarosan can be bought and used.

We have undertaken a normal season’s production of Clarosan and so stock will be allocated on a “ first come, first served” basis.  If you have any additional requirements over your normal season’s offtake then please let us know at your earliest opportunity.

We apologise for the inconvenience that the withdrawal of this product will cause but the revocation was completely out of our control.
