The varieties used in the ProSelect range are developed by the Scotts Professional R&D department, Pure Seed Testing and various US universities. This syngery gives Scotts one of the largest seed germplasms in the World.
Before introducing the ProSelect blends on the market, each single variety is tested for many years. Only once all the tests have shown perfect performance, can the variety be patented in the US and then registered in the European variety register. The variety can then be used as a component in our seed mixtures and it is made available for sale.
Scotts Professional's production of turfseeds follows very strict standards to obtain production lots with the highest germination and purity possible. Only the best varieties with the highest quality standards are used in ProSelect blends.
